Our chief designer, Mr. Joe, has been using a Kindle for fifteen years. It was a cold night, and Joe was lying in bed reading an e-book as usual. (E-books have many advantages—for example, they can hold a large number of books, and you can read in a pitch-black room without any ambient light because they have built-in backlighting, e-readers are very lightweight, and so on), but he just couldn’t fall asleep. Usually at this time of night, he’d already be drifting off in the dimly lit atmosphere, but today the room was particularly cold. Although his whole body was warm under the covers, he had to keep one hand outside to hold the e-reader and turn the pages—and that hand was freezing, preventing him from falling asleep. That’s how SYUKUYU was born. Its mission is to make reading more fun, more comfortable, and more effortless. You can wrap your entire body in the covers and, with just a remote control in hand, drift off to sleep while enjoying a comfortable reading experience. As we’ve sold our product globally, we’ve discovered the many benefits it brings—for example, people with arm disabilities, the elderly, and children have all rediscovered their love of reading through our product.
